Abstract

The concept of power is essential to understand the interactions among States in the international arena. Theorists have focused on describing and quantifying it to determine to what extent it aids States in mitigating the anarchic global order. Power has different characteristics, and its rapid and versatile implementation also determines how successful a country can be in times of crisis. This article analyzes the evolution of the concept of power to examine how countries should prepare for future global crises.
