The Inter-American Defense College maintains a wide range of academic publications designed to spread knowledge in defense and hemispheric security.
Our publications consist of a journal – Hemisfério, published since 2015, as well as ebooks and proceedings related to specific themes and academic seminars held as part of the academic program of the Master’s Course in Inter-American Defense and Security, or special thematic volumes based on relevant themes in security and defense matters.

Hemisferio, the Journal of the IADC, aims to promote research on issues related to security and defense in the Western Hemisphere. It is an annual, non-profit journal with a multidisciplinary approach, which is affiliated to the academic program of this center of higher studies.
The spectrum of thematic areas is broad, thus contributing to the analysis of security and defense issues from different perspectives, such as: Strategic Thinking, International Relations, Political Economy, Forecasting Methodology, Geopolitics, Human Rights, Civil-Military Relations, Multidimensional Security, Cybersecurity, Defense and Security Policies, Development, Leadership, and Conflict Analysis and Resolution. The editorial team is comprised of specialists and researchers, both from the IADC and from outside the College, whose expertise in the topics covered in the journal makes them a key component in maintaining a quality control of the contents in papers published. The journal is part of the Latindex directory.

The Inter-American Defense College (IADC) extends an invitation to all who would like to contribute scientific articles for the periodical published by our center for advanced studies. Hemisferio, the official IADC magazine, is devoted to promoting research in areas related Western Hemispheric security and defense.
It is an annual publication, which is non-profit and presents a multidisciplinary approach, associated with the College advanced studies program. The broad spectrum of subject areas contributes to the analysis of security and defense related challenges from diverse perspectives including: Strategic Thinking, International Relations, Political Economy, Future Studies Methodologies, Geopolitics, Human Rights, Civil-Military Relations, Multidimensional Security, Cybersecurity, Defense and Security Policies, Development, Leadership, and Conflict Analysis and Resolution.
